In this Ted Talk, Mary Marker, a refugee from South-Sudan, shares her story of coming from a war scarred country. She talks about how difficult it has been for her to get education and become an educator herself, to help those who come from similar backgrounds. This talk sheds light on the difficulties faced by displaced people/refugees, in terms of education and otherwise. It also highlights why educating them is important.

"For the child of war, an education can turn their tears of loss into a passion for peace,"
Powerful words by Mary Marker. Her work with the UNHCR for refugee education is remarkable. It is amazing how she has come from having absolutely nothing to be able to give this ted talk. Thank you for sharing this!
